It’s nuts, isn’t it? I was so surprised to see the AAPOR make such a statement. It’s the industry defending it’s patch, obviously. I’m thinking (hoping) it was just a knee-jerk reaction to something poorly understood.
Please take it from me that Dr Link’s view does not reflect the views of all pollsters.
