An interesting statistical problem: given that most cars and buses on the Golden Mile are travelling at less than 20kmh what is the effect of reducing the speed limit from 30 to 20?
I think the answer could be estimated by looking at existing speeds and doing some calculations. Some investigative journalism anyone? I bet the data is already available.

Steve Black: even after removing the special schools there is a still a positive correlation between class size and performance, which is statistically significant for reading and writing. See Eric Crampton’s analyses for the details.
